Center for Community Partnerships
The Center for Community Partnerships is a permanent anchor for university -based research, teaching, and service focusing on Philadelphia, and particularly West Philadelphia.

West Philadelphia Improvement Corps (WEPIC)
WEPIC originated in the spring of 1985 from an honors history seminar. WEPIC is now a year-round program seeking to create comprehensive university- assisted community schools that are social, service delivery and educational hubs fo the entire community.

Student Volunteer Organizations
The University of Pennsylvania supports a wide variety of student groups with varying interests. Here is an index to many with volunteer service focus.

Program for Student-Community Involvement
The Program for Student-Community Involvement (PSCI) promotes and supports community service and service-learning among University of Pennsylvania students.

West Philadelphia Tutoring Project
The West Philadelphia Tutoring Project (WPTP), provides Penn students the opportunity to participate in community service on a weekly basis.

Penn-Edison Partnership
THE PENN-EDISON PARTNERSHIP is a program putting undergraduate majors, graduate students and faculty from the English Department at Penn together with students from the Edison-Fereira High School in North Philadelphia.

Penn's Initiatives in the Public Schools
A summary of some of Penn's engagement with the West Philadelphia public schools. The summary largely focuses on Penn's work with the West Philadelphia Improvement Corps (WEPIC) and attempts to develop university-assisted community schools.

A Resource Guide to the West Philadelphia Community
The Office of Community Relations of the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Community Partnerships has created the following directory to provide the community and university with information regarding West Philadelphia. The "Community Resource Guide" consists of listings of schools, health care providers, churches, community organizations, and elected officials.

Directory of Research and Data on Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania
In an effort to foster greater knowledge about research on Philadelphia, the Center for Community Partnerships and Penn Program for Public Service have developed a source book on data available about the Philadelphia area. Information on demographic, economic, housing, health, education and social services data has been documented.
